Majolica Spotlight: Wedgwood's Majolica Bridge Set

One of the sweetest series created by any pottery is Wedgwood's playing card set. It's a small set that comprises four pickle dishes in the four suits in which playing cards are composed: hearts, spades, clubs and diamonds. These were mainly issued in Argenta coloration but can occasionally be found in other colors as well.

None of these are particularly easy to find but of the four the heart dish is probably the most difficult, so expect to pay a premium. Still, it's a nice little set that challenges the collector to find all four.
